Margaret "Peggy" Joanne Christ Zolot

Margaret "Peggy" Joanne Christ Zolot, age 60, passed away early Thursday morning, February 23, 2012, at Akron City Hospital.

Peggy was born November 7, 1951, in Akron, to the late John and Mae (Beckley) Christ. She was a graduate of Garfield High School. Peggy worked at the Akron Police Department for 13 years and later worked as an Executive Assistant with Linden Industries.


Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Zolot, and brothers, Daniel, Donald, and Frederick Christ.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jackie (Art) Romanski and Rachael Westover; four sons, Todd (Lila) Cooperider, Christopher (Erin) Cooperider, Scott Cooperider, and Richard (Paula) Zolot. She was Grandma and Nana to seven grandchildren, Kaylee, Andrew, Cassidy, Brooke, Richie, Colin, and Landon. Peggy also leaves her three sisters, Sharon (Rick) Barrett, Dianne (Jerry) Werner, and Patty (Ron) Evans, and her brother Tom (Mary) Christ. Also surviving are Aunt Ann Christ, sisters-in-law Marian and Patti Christ, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) in Akron. A graveside service will be Monday beginning at 11 AM, Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Rd. in Akron.
