Obituary for Janine Oreskovich

Janine  Oreskovich
Janine Oreskovich, 52, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on May 26.  An Akron native, Janine was a graduate of Hoban High School.  For more than 24 years, she served as office manager for St. Bernard’s Church.  More recently she served in the same role for Dr. Hofacker’s office.  Janie was devoted and selfless in whatever she did, whether organizing an office or serving as a loving caregiver for her mother, Helen, with whom she lived.  Her many interests included hiking, photography, and reading.  She was also known for her talents in the kitchen. Janie was strong in her faith. For all she did as a loving daughter and sister, she will be forever missed and remembered.
Preceded in death by her father, Nicholas, she is survived by her mother, Helen; sisters,  Dianne (Wes) Kidd, Helen (George) Hengle, Kathryn (Daniel) Myers, Judy (Don) Maione, Paula Fry (Mark), Mary Ann (Ed) Williams, Susan (Tony) Kontozianes, Francine (James) Swailes and Lisa Almenar (Roberto); brother, Frank (Coleen); more than 55 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews for whom she was the “best aunt ever”.
Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to St Mary School or charity of choice.
