Obituary for Dorothy M. Gray

Dorothy M. Gray
Dorothy M. Gray
Dorothy M. Gray, 90, passed away on June 3, 2015. She was born on May 25, 1925 in Akron, OH to Julietta and Julius Ritterbeck.
Dorothy grew up in Akron, OH, attending East High School. She met her husband, Gerald while working at The Smorgasbord in Stow, OH at the age of 16. After WWII, they were married and later returned to Stow to raise their family, celebrating 53 years of marriage together. She had been a member of Holy Family Church. She loved being around her family and blessed us with many treasured memories. She was such a kind and loving person, who always put the needs of others before her own and everyone who was lucky enough to be on the receiving end will tell you that she gave the best hugs. Yellow was her favorite color and one of her favorite songs was, “You Are My Sunshine”. She was truly our sunshine.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; siblings, Alice (Jack) Kelly, Robert Ritterbeck (Bea) and Paul Ritterbeck (Maida).
She is survived by her son, Jim Gray; daughters, Patty Gray, Diane (Greg) Werner, Joan (Chuck) Sapsford; grandchildren, Tammy Gray-Miller, Tiffany (Tony) Humbert, Kevin Werner, Katie & Megan Sapsford; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Taylor, Sydney, Autumn, Zander and A.J.; sister, Rosemary; brother in-law, Jack; sister-in-law, Maida along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. in Stow on June 8, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:30PM; the Rosary will be prayed at 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30AM Tuesday, June 9th at Holy Family Church,3179 Kent Rd. Stow, OH.
