Thomas J. " Tommy Tickets" Francis
Thomas J. Francis "Tommy Tickets", 81, passed away on Oct. 13. An Akron native, Tommy had served in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the Orioles Nest 167. A Browns fan, he also loved to dance and golf. He was especially proud of his four holes-in-one at local courses.
His survivors include wife of 55 years, Rosemary; son Brian Francis; and daughter, Kerry (Ron) Skowronsky; grandchildren, Gabriel and Brenna Francis; and special niece, Cathy. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Francis and Linda Brooks; and brothers, Bob, Billy, Danny and Freddy.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Committal service with military honors will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
