Donna J. Thursby, 81, passed away on January 21 after an extended illness. Born in Akron to the late Richard and Margaret Shanks, she was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. Donna loved flowers and gardening. She was also an Indians and Browns fan.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Susan, and son, Steven, she is survived by sons, Jeffrey and Michael (Cindy) and grandchildren, Brian, David, Chuck, Joe, and Kristan.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Manor Care, AGMC ICU, and Hospice Care Center for their professional and kind care.
Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, East Central Division, Northeast Region, Ohio, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
