Obituary for Corrado "Gus" Gastaldo

Corrado "Gus" Gastaldo, 89, passed away on May 29. Born in Dennison, Oh., the son to the late Lorenzo and Francesca Gastaldo, Gus has been an area resident since 1953. He had retired as Supervisor from Chrysler. A member of St. Francis DeSales Parish where he served as an usher, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree. During World War II he served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of the American Legion.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis; his second wife, Frances; his son, Lawrence, his granddaughter, Heather; and his brother, Vincenzo; he is survived by daughters, Josephine (Tom) Keenan, and Susan (Larry) Worcester; sister, Ede Wiloughby; brothers, Armondo (Elinda), and Adolfo (Roberta); grandchildren, Jason, Anthony, Janet, Judy, and Chona; and great grandchildren, Katie, Maura, Lilith, Addison, Anthony, Lauren, Katie and Allison.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. Private interment will take place later.
