John E. Jeffers, age 88, of Akron, passed away Tuesday, June 14th at Akron General Hospital.
John was born December 9, 1927 in Akron to the late John and Henrietta Jeffers.
He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War. Jack was a former member of the American Legion and the Croatian Club.
Jack is survived by his cousins, Rev. Fr. Arthur Bacher, Robert, Patrick, Dennis, Thomas Kevin, William, and Catherine Jeffers; friends and neighbors, Marlene and Bill McFadden, who looked after and took care of John.
A Prayer Service will be conducted by Fr. Bacher on Friday at 11AM in the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
