Obituary for Robert M. Kraus
Robert M. Kraus, Sr. died on August 11 at Akron General Medical Center.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1920. His parents were Robert J. Kraus and Marie Friess Kraus. He married Margaret Haag on January 16, 1954. Robert was, like his father, and architect.
He is survived by children, their spouses and their children: Robert Jr. and Maria X. Kraus and Anna Marie, Erica, John and Stephen; Maria and Robert Sherrard and Christina (John) Nielson, Robert III and Emily; Teresa and Rodney Vukson and Katheryn (Mark Komoroski), Christopher, Carolyn, and Michael; Joseph and Lillian Kraus and Madeline, Matthew, Olivia, and Andrew; Barbara and Craig Feller and Sarah and Michael; great grandson Camerson Nielson. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Judy Cook Kraus. His wife, Margaret died on May 22, 2010; Robert and Margaret's son, James, died in 2003.
Relatives and friends may visit Robert's family at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at St. Sebastian's Church (476 Mull Ave.) from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.on Thursday, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Robert will be buried at Margaret's side in the Kraus family grave site at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made Maryknoll Missionary Society or to the St. Vincent DePaul Ministry at St. Sebastian Church.
