Thomas E. Carmedy passed away on Nov. 17. Tom worked for the Akron Board of Education Custodial Services, retiring in April after 30 years of service. He loved his many runs in the Road Runner Marathons and trained vigorously each year. Tom was an avid Notre Dame and baseball fan, he never failed to make his many friends laugh with his sense of humor.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Doris, and brother, Michael, he leaves behind the family that will deeply miss him: sister, Patricia (Mark) Weiler; brothers, Dennis (Nishmet), Terrance (Anne) Carmedy; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tom's life will be on Saturday, November 26th at the Ancient Order of Hibernians (2000 Brown St., Akron 44319) from 12 to 4 p.m.
