Obituary for Anna Scott Lance
Anna Scott Lance, 95, passed away on January 10, 2017 while residing at Copley Health Center. Born in Tallmadge to the late Ned and Olive Scott, Mrs. Lance has been a life-long area resident. A member of the Akron and Cleveland Sewing Guilds she was an accomplished seamstress and had worked for J.C. Penney and from her home. She was a member of Christ Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gordon, and son, John, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gordon II and Judy; and grandsons, Jacob and Jeremy.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Woodlawn United Methodist Church (444 N. Hawkins Ave., 44313), Pastor Debbie Gibbons officiating. Private inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park will take place later.
