Obituary for David Majewski

David Majewski
On Friday, January 13th David Majewski died tragically in a motor accident near Rayong Thailand.
To say he had a zest for life is an understatement.
David was born in Akron, Ohio on January 13, 1978 and graduated from Stow Munroe Falls High School. He went to Coastal Carolina University for his undergraduate degree and received his Masters from Nova Southeastern University. David caught the teaching bug working at The Newfoundland Harbor Marine Institute in the Florida Keys. He continued his teaching career in Bonita Springs, Florida and The Westminster School in Annadale, Virginia. His passion for adventure took him Thailand with Explore Asia. He loved the culture and the people so much that he took a permanent teaching position at the Rayong English Programme School.

When he wasn’t teaching he loved to be in the outdoors, in the sunshine or under the stars. He loved swimming, hiking and camping. From the blue waters of the Florida Keys to the exotic shores of Thailand, David left his mark on every mile and made an impression on everyone who met him.

David will be deeply missed by his loving parents, John and Karen Majewski; his sister, Jennifer (Ben) and his nieces Hannah and Madison Reep of Roswell, Georgia; his uncle and aunt, Jim and Stella Finn; and his closest cousins, Kevin Finn of Des Plains, Illinois, and Erin (Dan) Manning of La Grange, Illinois. Along with many other cousins and family, he will also be remembered by countless friends he has made across the country and around the world.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 27th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church (1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls) at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 28th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Park Service www.nationalparks.org/support/donate.
