William C. “Billy” Buskirk, 65, passed away on Feb. 23, 2017. Born in Akron the son of the late William and Betty Buskirk, Billy had been a life-long area resident. He was an avid StarTrek fan and loved music, movies, hard candy and Mountain Dew. Bill was a gentle person who would pray for anyone.
His survivors include brothers, David (Patti), Mark, Steve (Kim); half-brother, John (Patty) Firby; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). Chaplain Elise Leitzel will officiate at funeral services on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
