Obituary for Theresa Yeager (Spak)

Theresa “Teddy” Yeager, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2017, in the loving presence of her family. She was a life resident of Akron, and a member of St. Mary’s Parish where she converted to Catholicism shortly after her marriage to the love of her life, John ”Jack”.
Theresa was born on June 22, 1922 and lived a wonderful loving life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 yrs, John P., son-in-law, Joseph Stollar and her sisters: Mary, Ann, Erma; brothers: George, Danny and Robert. She leaves her loving children, Kathy Stollar, of Denver, CO., John D. and Emily Yeager, Tim Yeager (Donna McDonald) and Tom Yeager (Gea Benedict) of this area; eight grandchildren: Krista McAlenney, Michelle Christopher, Eric Stollar, all of Denver, CO, J. Patrick Yeager of Akron, Gina and Brian Boyle, of Ft. Mead, MD, Chris Yeager, of Austin, TX, Derrick Yeager of Dublin, OH and Jason and Margaret Yeager of Green; and ten and ½ great-grandchildren: Luke, Paige, Gabe, Alex ,Cole James, Evelyn, all of Denver, Alexander and Oliver of Green, Conor and Baby Boy Boyle 2 of Ft. Mead, many nieces and nephews who fondly referred to her as “Aunt Teddy”.
Theresa was a loving and caring wife, mother grandma, grandma-great, sister, and aunt and friend.
Theresa’s family wants to thank all the staff and care professionals at Jackson Ridge Rehabilitation for the care and love given to Theresa during her stay there.
Visitation Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Dunn-Quigely Funeral Home (811 Grant Street). Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (750 S.Main St.) at 10:00am, with Fr. Dan Reed and family friend Fr. Jared Orndorff concelebrating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in mom’s name to Jackson Ridge Rehabilitation Center (7055 High Mill Ave., NW, Canal Fulton, OH 44614-4545), and any Veteran’s Organization or to a charity of one's choice.
