Obituary for Frank Kovacic

Frank Kovacic, 88, passed away on April 18, 2017. Born in Cleveland to the late Frank Sr. and Mary Kovacic, Frank graduated from Kent State University before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an accomplished ball player and played on the KSU baseball team as well as in the Army. He later retired from Goodyear Aerospace and enjoyed golf, travel and camping.
In 1982, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou and in 2012 by his second wife, Betty. His survivors include daughters, Sally Capas, Patty Kovacic and Kathy Kovacic; grandson, Alexander Capas; and great-grandchildren, Warren, Zoey, and Parker.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church, interment Oakwood Cemetery.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Mulberry Gardens and Senior Independence Hospice for their professional and loving care extended to Frank during his stay.
