Obituary for George M. Botzman

George M. Botzman, 97,of Stow, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
 
George was born in Akron, Ohio on December 29,1919.  He was one of 12 children.  After graduating from Garfield, he went into the Civilian  Conservation Corps (CCC) helping build Virginia Kendall State Park. He was a machinist by trade until he retired.  In retirement George enjoyed making wooden  toys for his grandchildren and others.  He also loved  spending time in his yard and doing projects with his neighbor, Bob Bollinger. He was a participating member of Holy Family Catholic Church and volunteered for many years with the Boy Scouts at Holy Family. 
George was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Wilberta. He is survived by daughters, Virginia Johnson, Mary (John) Dabrowski, and Regina (Jack) Bartley; sons George J. (Cynthia), Andrew (Carol), Wilbert (Eun-Soon), Christopher, Lawrence (Jane Ann), Thomas (Vanessa), John (Lily), Paul (Michelle), and Michael; many  grandchildren, and  great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eva (Paul) Chandler, and many nieces and nephews. His daughter Marlene as well as his parents, Andrew and Eva Botzman, preceded him in death.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, July 2 from 2-5 PM at the Dunn Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Road at Rt.91). Mass if Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church (3179 Kent Road, Stow) on Monday, July 3 at 10 AM.  Internment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield.
