Nikola Zaklanovich, 90, of Akron, passed away September 9, 2017. Nick was born on November 29, 1926 in East Chicago, Indiana. Nick retired from General Tire where he was employed as an electrician. Nick always worked hard and dedicated his life to his family.

Nick enjoyed the last two years sharing the company of many friends at The Gardens of Western Reserve, where the caregivers were loving family to him.

Nick was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Anna, in 1995; and his brother, Drago "Daniel" Zaklanovich. He will be sadly missed by daughter, Nancy Sheppard (Victoria); son, Nick Zaklanovich (Allyn); daughter-in-law, Louise McMinn (Mike); three granddaughters, Mary and Katie Zaklanovich and Nicole Oser (Jim); great-grandson, Jimmy Oser; and sister, Helen Buzaki.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 13 from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt.91), with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. There will be a private family interment the following day.
