Obituary for William Paul Wigal

William Paul  Wigal
William Paul Wigal, 92, of Stow entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was born in Elizabeth, WV on July 22, 1925. He has moved from his earthly home to his eternal home in Heaven to await his family and friends whom he loved so dearly.
Paul gave his life to the Lord on December 16, 1956 and faithfully served the Lord for the following 61 years and one day. He was a proud member of the Cathedral of Tomorrow where he was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. Paul later joined the Assemblies of God where he taught an adult Bible class for many years as well as serving on the Board of Directors. His study Bible documents that he was filled with the Holy Ghost on March 25, 1973.

Paul retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a carpenter after 43 years of service.
He proudly served his country in World War II in the United States Navy on the USS Montague taking part in the Battle of Okinawa.
After meeting in 1944, Paul married Mildred McNew on May 13, 1945 with whom he had four children,
Paul’s greatest desire was to leave a legacy of having a close family that knew and followed the Lord.
Preceded in death by his beautiful bride, Mildred, of 71 years, brothers Cecil Wigal and Delbert Wigal, and parents Clarence and Jane Wigal.

He is survived by son Ron Wigal and wife Joyce, daughters Pamela Schneider and husband John, Robin Titus and husband Bob Cochrane, son Jay Wigal and wife Lori; four precious grandchildren: Justin Wigal and wife Shari, Corbin Titus, Brayden and Mason Wigal, and two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Mackenzie. One brother also survives Paul, Harold Wigal and one sister, Evelyn Shepherd.

Friends and family are welcome to calling hours on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 19) where Pastor Roger Larrison will officiate at a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment following funeral at Stow Cemetery.
