KENT- Elizabeth Zgonc, age 91, of Stow, passed away Tuesday, July 31st. at her residence.
Elizabeth was born July 28, 1921 in Garrettsville, Ohio to the late Ferencz and Anna (Kovacs) Posh. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cleveland. She retired in 1984 from Sears after 24 years employment. She enjoyed cooking and baking especially authentic Hungarian dishes. Elizabeth was very proud of the years she managed a dime store on Buckeye Road in Cleveland until 1949 when she married.
Besides her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband Matthew Zgonc, her son Timothy, daughter-in-law Kathleen, son-in-law Richard, and her siblings, Frank, Emma, Anna, and William.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Morris of North Canton; her son Thomas (Phyllis) Zgonc of Kent; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Rommel) Cortez, Mary Elizabeth, Katie, David, Emily, Tim (Erin), Lucy (Eric) Pickering, Mike and Eddie; two great-grandchildren Stella, and Henry.
Friends may call from 4-8PM on Thursday at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. at Rt.91 in Stow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10AM, Friday, August 3, 2012 at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd. in Stow
