When Bob met Margaret

On May 3, 1953 I made my First Communion at St. Sebastian Church. After the ceremony my mom had a big family celebration. My dad, Leo Kraus, was at home dying from colon cancer, but he was able to come down for the dinner my mom, Pauline, had prepared. As it turned out that was the last time he was ever out bed. In those days, children went back to church in the evening to receive the scapular. As fate would have it, my mom was not comfortable leaving my dad, so Bob volunteered to take me. He always told me he was so glad he did because that is where he met his beloved Margaret, because she was there too! I think it was love at first sight for both of them. So now they are together forever with all the angels and saints in heaven. When I read the date he died, I found it to be my 43rd wedding anniversary.....I bet he got a smile out of that! God bless you both. RIP cousin.
